Seriously, why shut bussecombat down?

Good answers Big Hogs. The more I think about it, the more I believe that Jerry is a marketing genius. Of course it helps that he makes some freakin good knives!

Where did I say you shouldn't have asked the question? Please read my first post, you asked why is the website down? I answered because that is what Jerry wanted to do. I didn't say don't ask the question, I didn't say it was a dumb question. Ask anything you want here, you didn't offend me (nor will you offend me)

However, I've been around here a long time and I wish that I'd learned early to just be patient and wait, and wait, and wait, and sometimes wait some more. ;)

I wasn't trying to be a jerk and I apologize if that is the way it came off, but when it really comes down to it all of the answers in this thread are speculation. No one knows why the website is down except Jerry and the webmaster and neither of them are posting. So my answer still stands, the website is down because Jerry has told the webmaster to take it down. It will be back up sometime and when it is orders can be placed and then we wait some more.

Once again, Jerry does know what he is doing, I have come to the conclusion it does no good to try and understand the "why's" and "why not's" of his business and just enjoy the ride.

Once again sorry if I sounded like a jerk, welcome to the Busse forum, I hope you stick around and join in our discussions

Oh yes we are...........I know it is rough.....waiting.........but if you ask any one that has gotten a BUSSE knife................They will tell you it was well worth it......That is why I love my job...I have said it time and time again...Sorry all you have all heard this a thousand times.........but Busse Combat is well worth the wait and we have great people working there and I feel that we are and will continue to be the way we are....Customer friendly and this is just my opinion......You all are not customers you are friends!!!! and I mean that everyone that has met me (Blade) or has talked to me on the phone I really call all of you my friends!!!!! This is Amy being Amy and I post alot on my off time and that is my choice....cause I want to....and you all are great!!!! Welcome to the family and you can always call me at the office...and I will talk your ear off....or your arm ....I do like to chit -chat...............:thumbup:

Such is the market. I thought the question was legit and as a big fan of Busse knives (although I only own one, it is my favorite) I found the reply a bit harsh.

Not everyone who reads this sub-forum is a fanboy who bleeds Busse yellow and black...there are many good knife makers/manufacturers out there. Might be wise to keep in mind.

Meanwhile, I'll just keep clicking the site because eventually it'll work ;)
 
Everybody knows the Busse site is down b/c of the IT they have. :rolleyes:

there are different types of performance. busse hits high marks on most catagories of blade performance people are concerned about, but there are other knives that compare to, or exceed busse's performance in select area's.

saying they make the only high performance knife is a broad statement that needs clarification in order to avoid being construed as a blanket statement for all individual performance catagories, such as wear resistence.



if they came out with a hog badger attack i'd be happy and willing to wait for the fbm a little while longer... (dont want to, but i'd do it).... or another choiless knife....

One day, not long ago, I walked my girlfriend up the street on our way to my car and stopped at a new Porsche and pulled out my keys and pretended to open the door; thinking that she might bit on me having bought the car.
