FOR SALE:
I have 1 and only 1 Billet of Serpentine feather. This is a cool pattern. Here is a direct link to purchase http://hhhcustomknives.com/product/serpent-damascus-12-x-1-12-x-18/

Billet measures 12” X 1 1/2″ X 1/8″

This is a variation on a awesome pattern. “Feather” The center vein of the feather is S shaped or serpentine..
Annealed and precision ground 1080 and 15n20 steels

Here are a few images of a finished knife from the same bar as the one offered in this listing.

Randy as I told you on facebook this is nothing new. Myself, Bruce Bump and David lisch have all done this before. I first made this pattern in 2003 and used it on one of my mastersmith test knives in 2006. you can find here where both Bruce and David have both displayed it before. I named it river of fire when I developed it. If you want to make it and call it something else it is up to you but don't claim it is a new variation or a new pattern. it is the same thing as copying someone else's knives and calling them your design.

Bill,. I changed the working so NEW is not in there if it makes you feel better. This pattern is "NEW" for us as in its something we had never done before Not necessarily new as in I was the first to make it. Like I said to you on FB..

Just in case there is any doubt about it. I was not the first person to forge damascus and pattern it in a S shape.. Smiths have been doing that for some time. and according t Bill at least since 2003.. :)

If I offended, I apologize. it was not my intent. With all due respect to everyone who has made, or makes damascus. I thank you all. Especially the few greats, that have taken the time to share and help the new makers and the knife community as a whole. Anything I do. has all been done B4.. I was inspired to try this pattern from Bruce.. and his WIP.. So credit where its due.. Thank you Bruce for all you do and have done to help the knife community. and sharing the awesomeness through WIP and your work!!

Obviously I have hit a nerve with you on this Bill.. Thats not my intent. As I move forward I will be more cautious as to how I word things, as to not mislead or offend.

Randy
