Serrated ARK?

It was a common misconception when the ARK concept was first introduced. Probably because, in this country, rape most often happens to women.

In Afghanistan, I would not be surprised if half the adult males have been raped at least once in their lives.

I'd venture to say more than half, but I understand where you are coming from. It's definitely a different world over there.

There have been cultures where the defeated men of a tribe were raped and the women were generally left alone. It's nothing new, and it is now common knowledge that rape is primarily about a display of dominance. I love Spyderco. What other company would produce a knife specifically to protect military personnel in the shower?

Anyway, even though defensive use won't be my intended application, I'm still super excited for a serrated ARK! Woohoo!

With the Spyderedges in the H-1 Salt Series ranking as about their very best serrations in their line up I can't see why Spyderco wouldn't offer everything in the H-1 Salt Series in Spyderedge. Now the ARK isn't a blade that interests me a great deal but I probably need to bite my tongue because I said that about the STREETBEAT when it first came out several years ago and I'm eating crow now because I now have one and use it often.

But I would be anxious to try out an ARK if it were offered in Spyderedge. It looks to me like anything they make in H-1 with a Spyderedge seems to sell well from what I can tell. But it did disappoint me greatly when the discontinued the Spyderhawk model. But that's another story for another thread.

should be 2016.

Even in the kind of sad and violent context of this thread there are still good news. 2016, yay!
Thanks Sal, Spectre and all of you fellow knife nuts!
Gonna peel some oranges we caught today with the ARK.

Have a nice day!

I don't bother with h1 unless its serrated. serrated ark would be awesome small knife, easy to get a few and leave them all over the place. One in the car, backpack, bcd, kitchen drawer, etc.

Count as all in!
I visit almost daily the forums and the Spyderco forums looking for updates on this.
I feel I need a companion for my ARK and kind of want to try a serrated version because it is my only H1 Spyderco in plain edge.
I own almost every H1 blade out there (G.Sakai knives included) and really appreciate and notice the edge retention increase in SE...

This is the serrated ARK that I'd like to see:

It would be the partially serrated small fixed blade I always wanted without losing any cutting edge.

But then wouldn't it be considered a double edged knife? Not legal to carry in most states.
