Serrated EDC

VG-10 steel was developed for the horticulture industry. It gets wicked sharp and it holds up well to serrations. I'd get a Spyderco Delica with a full serrated, or partly serrated VG-10 blade. Yes, H1 will not rust, but I think VG-10 is more suitable. There is, of course, also the LC200N serrated blade. It will not rust, ever, but it is tough and it holds an edge well. So far, you have three choices, there. The Spyderco Native 5 Salt. the other two are too large for you.

Black on Black Delica

The Delica comes partially serrated with black or foliage green handles.

It also comes fully serrated with stainless steel handles.

Even better is this Wharncliffe model.

I've been away from this thread for a while because I ordered both a Spyderco Native 5 and Leatherman Wave and, while I was waiting, I pawed through a box of knives I bought a while ago. Now I understand how a life collection happens - I found a Gerber knife and multitool that have all the functions I asked for. After trying the new knives and tools and retrying the old, I remain dissatisfied. Although the Spyderco Native is sharp, I should have listened - part serrated is not good. And it's bit too large, with square edges, so it is uncomfortable in my pocket. Dang it! Back to the drawing board.

BTW, looking for a SAK with (only) blade, scissors, blade and Phillips screwdrivers, nail file, toothpick and tweezers. Tinker comes close...

I agree that your issue is the combo/partial serrated blade, NOT the knife itself.

I don't see how you could go wrong with a Spyderco Delica 4 C11FWCBK full serrated knife. Actually most any Spyderco knife that fully serrated would probably function well for your needs. The only down side I see is the $85 price.

If you want a less expensive option to test the Spyderco fully serrated waters, their budget line Byrd Meadowlark 2 Rescue BY19SBK2 is available for less than $35!

Get a Rambler. The Philips screwdriver (magnetic!) sports a small wire stripper notch and a cap lifter. The thing is genius.

Yes a Cold Steel Lucky two blade. It has a serrated blade on one end and a regular blade on the other end. It’s the size you mentioned and it’s easy pocket carry.
