Just wondering how hard it is to do a serrated edge, I have never done one yet, and I want to do about an inch and half or less section on these two, is their any tip links or an info page you guys have done, I'd like to start off somewhat on the right foot and not have to scrap these out.
Thanks.

I want to disclaim this and tell you I have never done a serrated edge.

I read several years back that a person should use chainsaw files to put on a serrated edge. I mentioned this to my mentor and he said this was a fine idea, but you should tape the chainsaw file to a straight rod of the same diameter so that when you cut the second serration you can index off the first and they will always be evenly spaced. This is the same idea behind a checkering file.

Hope that helps some.

It is not that hard, I have done it on a couple of knives. I experimented and practiced on some home depot steel to figure out the spacing and sizes first though. I ended up using a small chainsaw sharpening file and a 1/4" round file I believe. The technique mentioned above is also helpful as well. Remember, only file one side of the blade. The back side will need to be touched lightly to knock the burr off. PRACTICE FIRST!!
