Hello,
I am wondering if there are any good folders on the market with serrations on the front of the blade and a plain edge in the rear. Any links or info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mel Pardue is the only maker I've seen do this on a folder. I suppose if you could find someone w/one of those serration grinding wheels, you could have it done to just about any folder provided its straight enough (ie not too much curve) near the front.

I am pretty sure Mad Dog does not make a folder

Darrel Ralph used to do this on his Krait folders. This isn't the best picture, but you can see what is possible. This one happens to have some serrations at the bottom also. <a href="http://www.robertsoncustomcutlery.com/rcc/xclusive.htm">

Gerber Covert is like that(you have to sharpen the spine though-not to hard to do with the right file and stones). Same with the Applegate/Fairbaine(the bigger model-same company).
