Can anyone here tell me the difference between a serrated blade and a scalloped blade.
It is my understanding that a serrated blade has the "teeth" ground on both sides of the edge, while a scalloped blade has the teeth" ground on only one side.
i think the scalloped edge has more rounded teeth...and will last longer in the sharpening dept because of this...a serrated knife is actually a minature saw...and the sharp points wear off the fastest cause they are out there doing most of the work.
