OK, got a question..... I’m looking for a fully serrated blade. What is the best/toughest folder out there? Blade length between 3-3.5 inches, there is no price concerns, but no customs.

Ok let it rip:eek:

Im in love with my Camillus Heat.
Get off Ebay for less than $30.
AUS 8 steel

I've been studying Ebay. anyway aside from the Camillus you can get the Spydercos for under $50.
Go there and look up Delica etc
Go with AUS8. VG10, or D2

disclaimer : Im a newbie collector who is also price driven.

Good Luck

Delica, hands down. At first I didn't care for it and I sold it. Later I realized it was exactly what I needed and bought another one. My lock is a little loose now so I'm thinking about another one.

Delica SE is nice. Paramilitary SE is even nicer. I think the Native in SE would also be really sweet.

there aren't many fully serrated knives out there.

but if i were in the market, definitely a spyderco.

I have heard quite a few reports of chipping on ZDP-189 SE. How was your experience with this steel in SE?

Spyderco's all the way!! a fully serrated cally3!!! G-10 handles, steel liners trustful lock.

How much use/abuse does a Delica take before the lock loosens? My SE Delica, which got regular, if not daily use (almost no abuse, except using the spine to lift paint can lids), locked up tight these 5 years.

Maybe Spyderco will tune it up for you. Otherwise, you should love the newer D4. :)

Apparent looseness in a lockback can sometimes be nothing more than a bit of lint or dirt in the area where the lock engages. Try cleaning it with solvent and compressed air.

The D3 is more prone to the lock loosening because of the unlinered FRN. I'm willing to bet that Rusty Toyota's Delica was a 3. The Delica 4 has steel skeletonized liners so lockup should stay the same no matter how hard you use it.

As you've probably guessed by now Spyderco really dominates this knife category.

If you want something a little more pricey you could always try the Katz Cheetah for just under $170.

I can't vouch for its quality. I just stumbled across it while taking a glance through their site. I would personally just grab one of the cheaper knives already suggested.

Another vote for a spyderco...it should also be said that spyderco is one of the very few companies that will sharpen their serrated knives if you send them in

I've got an Endura 3 fully serrated. It's the best - great on rope, webbing, sharpens easily. Just don't use it because of the integral clip. The 4 solved that, but I've moved to plain edge flat ground for edc.

Fully serrated is harder to use on corrugated cardboard and much of the lighter goods I encounter, but for the specific use on rough cutting fibrous materials it's unexcelled.
