Server busy at moment,try again later??????

these past few days i have had it happen a few times. today it happened twice. i think daveh has a good idea. at least a $5. charge for say 6 months wouldnt be bad. it could cut down on spammers possibly which would be a plus. i have also been getting logged out somehow. i would be looking through new posts and the next thing i know i'm no longer logged in when i go to the next page. sometimes it happens a few times in a row.
 
Ok then, search is going down for non-paying members.
 
Also, I appreciate the notices of "I got a server too busy error" but it would be a lot more helpful if you would put EXACTLY when it was happening for you, along with your time zone.

I will make notes of exactly when on a spread sheet and post it all at one time for you use in the future. I love the forums and will do all I can to help.

Maybe the server just needs some maintenance (defragging and whatnot).

I only get the message during "peak" hours.

Another option that could ease congestion is to link google search to all pages (like CPF does), so anybody can search the forums and it won't drag on the server (we can already do this, but if you provide the link, people will use it).

I have been getting this different times of the day mainly early mornings between 6:00am to 8:00 am. and mid days between 1:00PM and 3:00PM I'm in the central time zone.

I'll keep some notes for future reference.
 
just got this message and when i hit refresh it gave me the same message.

Richard, try running this from a command prompt: ipconfig/flushdns and see if it cures some of your odd stuff happening. Will not hurt. Computer engineer son had me do it last week when I had odd stuff happening on BF.

Off and on 3:25 to 3:40 pm CST. Had to hit F5 five times to get one post posted.

right now it's about 3.18MST, and I've had the server too busy message about 30 times in the last hour.
 
still getting them, about 30% of the time now, it's 5.30 MST.
