Spark - I'm getting the "server too busy" error message a lot recently, mainly in the evenings. I don't recall this happening in the past. What's going on?

Server is getting overloaded. I'll look into changing the settings.

It is happening more and more both days and evenings.

I imagine downloading and reading large picture files strains the server a bit, should there be a constraint on size or the number of pictures in a given thread?

It shouldn't be happening at all now - is anyone still experiencing it?

Spark, i havent experienced "the server too busy" thing for a couple of days, I think it has been fixed. Thank you for taking care of the problem.

Ran into this problem twice today and twice yesterday. It doesn't seem to have much to do with how many people are on the forum. I have had the problem with 180 people on board and not had it with 230. Maybe it has to do with the number of members actually posting at the time? Don't know.

I got the 'server too busy' message last night a BUNCH of times.

That was the first time it's happened to me.

I got it at 7:49pm eastern time and lost a post. Fortunately I write anything more than a line or two in a word processor and paste it in.

I have gotten the message several times in the last two days.

Real bad today. Almost very time I switch forums, post a reply, access a thread...
Probably 15 times in the last hour:(

It's starting this crap again with me  Happened for the first time in a long time just a few minutes ago.

I'm still getting it at times too. The forum doesn't seem to be running slow at all -- that's a time-out error, isn't it? I think it's still set to time-out too soon.

It happens when the server gets overloaded. We've got a full gig of RAM and twin P4 1000's and it still might not be enough.
