Services list, what do you think?

On the suppliers list would it be beneficial to you folks to have a services list? For example, George Tichbourne sent in a source to have contact wheels resurfaced which is invaluable information. Texas Knifemakers Supply does bead blasting and cryogenic tempering.

What would be some of the services that we, as knifemakers, be interested in? There is a place in Houston, Texas that does teflon coating, quite a few of my fellow duck and goose hunters have their entire shotguns teflon coated! It sure does prevent alot of rust in the coastal marshes!

If things of this nature would be of a benefit, let me know and most importantly, either email me or post the information.

I REALLY appreciate everyone's input on this suppliers list endevour. I believe it is something that will be a benefit for all of us.

C.L...I think a services list is a good thing. Something else, I think we should e mail everyone we put on the list and tell them about it. Mike has stated that the Forums needs to be listed in more links. I think those suppliers and service people would be more than happy to put such a link in their sites when they are told of the amount of hits this site gets. What do you think, Mike?

I think it's a great idea, you may not need these services but once in a blue moon, but if they are on the list it saves alout of valuable time trying to find them.

C L,

Another great idea. My initial contribution, a source of high quality blueing and other finishing:

Doug Turnbull Restoration
6680 Route 5 & 20
Bloomfield, NY 14469
Phone: (716) 657-6338 http://gunshop.com/dougt.htm

Tey've done blueing on knives for me. Good quality on a number of different processes. Good prices.

Thanks,
