Set for sale question

That falling block with the changeable barrels is gorgeous! Too pricey for me though, besides we can't hunt with rifles in IL. :)

Was thinking of something classic like 30-40 Krag.

Mmm, Krag. I love my 1898 Rifle. It was the impetus for learning how to reload.

I'm guessing you want the single shot with a rimmed round? What is your intended use? I have a combination gun with 7x65R over 12 guage barrels. 7x65R is an amazing round. It has substantially better range than .30-40, and is almost as classic. The only place where it falls down is bullet weight. That's where the slug in the lower barrel comes into play....

Anyway, inquiring minds, etc.

I love guns

So what do you do in Il, throw rocks?

I like those single shot rifles. I think I'll buy that 500 nitro express for groundhog and squirel hunting.

I don't do anything, no time for such luxury. Shot guns, hand guns, archery and black powder rifles are all that can be used here.

Looking at a single shot and wanted something suitable for hunting deer.
I suppose that if I thought I would ever draw a moose permit that I should get something maybe a little bigger.
How about a .348 Winchester or .50 Alaskan
I love nice guns and hunt with a beater Remington 700 Classic in .350 Rem mag with a 2.5-8 Vari-X III.
