John I do plan to cryo the stainless steels but don't have a dewar yet (I'm not in the market for bull semen); don't even have any fancy steel!

I'm a simple kinda guy but my scientific days are coming.

Guy I will be doing some of the cool stuff eventually. I don't suppose the electric oven could be cost effective for simple carbon steels compared to the propane forge but the control and replicability factor is worth everything. That's really what I'm shooting for.

And you guys know how I am about duct tape...it's God's gift to DIYers. So the ultimate bull semen has got to be God's gift to ... knifemakers?
