hello all
just a small update from this thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=734373 so yesterday i put the things together:

first i adjusted everything so there's no wobbling

I'm pretty happy how it turned out.. the hammer bounces of like hitting a rubber ;)
 
Looks good! I do have a suggestion though. I seem to remember in your origional post you said this stump was green. You may want to seal the ends if you haven't already. One it will allow it too slow drying so maybe it won't split and two the ground it is setting on looks sorta wet. Sealing it will help to keep it from becoming a wick for the ground moisture. "Happy forgeing"!:D

I was planing to paint it top and bottom, but didn't. I should considering of doing it especially to prevent the ground moisture to "climb up the tree"
