Seven Day Loop, Mineral King Sequoia NP

Wow! Your trip brings back memories for me. I did a very similar trip many years ago only in the reverse order, i.e. going from Mineral King Valley over Sawtooth Pass, Columbine lake, Lost Canyon, Big Arroyo, etc and back out over Black Rock Pass. Did not go all the way down to the Kern, Stayed up in Big 5 and Little 5 Lakes basins. Fishing was excellent. I will say that going over Sawtooth Pass was a real slog! Two steps back for every step forward in the lose sand! ( Way worse than my recent "slog" up to the summit of 14,000 ft Mt Langley via Old Army Pass)
