Hi,

I usually just read your posts for info, so I'd like to give back a little. Last weekend, I spent two days in the Seven Devils Mountains in Idaho. We covered about 19 miles and were between 6,600ft and 8,600ft the entire time.

For sleeping, I brought a 8x10 Walmart tarp, a blue foam Walmart sleeping pad, and three Wiggys Poncho Liners.

It rained and then snowed that night. I'm guessing it got down to just below freezing (snow on the ground and ice on my tarp). I was actually toasty warm on the pad wrapped in the liners. I was actually only covered with two for most of the night.

Anyway, the poncho liners exceded my expectations, so I just wanted to pass it on.

Thanks,
Jason

C'mon Jason, I just made myself a fresh cup of tea before I looked at this post as I was expecting to see loads of nice pics !!!!!

You can't go wrong with Wiggy's. Poncho liners make an excellent flexible sleep system. One of these times out try em with the military poncho as a sleeping bag. It'll surprise ya.

I wish I brought a camera, it was pretty awesome being up that close to the sky. It was especially interesting, and scarry, to watch the weather move in rapidly through the peaks and go from 60 and sunny to 30's with lightening and snow. We actually hiked the last 7 miles out in a snow storm.

It was very beautiful, but at the same time I could tell I was in a very unforgiving environment.
