Like the pin prick, not the....oh never mind.

FINALLY finished these up. This is a project I've been working on here and there for a while. The guys at the power plant where I work are always bugging me to make them some affordable hunting and fishing knives. By affordable they mean Wal Mart prices.

Well, we all know how next to impossible that is, so here's a compromise. I was wearing my Knives of Alaska- Cub Bear one day (in a custom kydex sheath I had made for it), and one of my operators noticed it. After inspecting it he decided that was almost what he was looking for. From then on whenever he refered to it he called it "you know, that little prick". Name stuck.

After a few changes here and there, this is what I (we) came up with. I know four are spoken for. The guys at the plant have first dibs on these, but if any are left, I'll post them here on BF, For sale, fixed blades (they normall run $65.00-$68.00).

Specs: 7" OAL, 2 1/2" blade (sharpened) of .125 O-1 tool steel. Finger choil, thumb notch, 3 3/4" handle of sculpted micarta or Corian, brass pins. Each knife has a custom fit kydex sheath with either a belt loop, small Tek-Lok, or belt clip.

Thanks for looking.
Scott

Nice knives. Thanks for showing them off.

But you should remove the prices...this forum is for showing not selling.

Well done! :o Excellent set of well designed and made knives. I like the way you incorporated a small finger guard into the handle.

I think the proportions of the handle and blade is perfect for the little prick. No wonder they are selling so fast.

Plus getting a complement from Ray, put a notch on your belt.

Thanks for the compliments guys. These were alot of fun to make.

Sorry if this thread (first post in particular) is somewhat confusing. I originally posted this thread in the gallery, but because I included what they would normally sell for in the post, it was moved here to the for sale forum. I'll repost if there are any left that don't sell at work. Again, sorry for any confusion.
Thank you,
Scott

I don't thing I've ever seen so many little pricks that close in one picture before. :) You could call them Lifesavers (get it...play on words, colorful candy...) Anyway, VERY NICE and great idea Scott.

You could call them Lifesavers (from Kerry)

Hi Guys,
These Little Pricks are all SOLD!

I've gotten a few emails on these. Your best bet is to special order one
exactly like you want. I plan on squeezing in another smaller batch next
week. I have black, green, red, and maroon micarta in stock as well as
jade green G-10. For belt attachments I have kydex loop, small Tek-Lok and belt clips.

The price is $68.00 plus shipping ($7.00 in the ConUS). I take paypal,
money orders, and checks. No payment is due until knife is complete. If
interested, please let me know right away. After the next batch, I'm
booked solid until well after Christmas.

That was my favorite too. It was also the first one to sell! I'm gonna start a new bunch monday. You can bet on at least two red on reds!
Thanks,
Scott

Be safe and take care, family is first and foremost always.

We all can wait until you return and your thoughts of knife making become available again.
