Several art and comparison shots - Hogues, Spydercos and my awesome CZ P01

Yeah - I will never get rid of my P01. I carry an XD 9mm Sub Compact more often but that's only because it's already "broken in" (spelled not pristine anymore) from carrying so much. The CZ P01 will take over whenever or if ever the Springfiled dies. I doubt that sucker will ever die though. I have many others to choose from that get carry time too :D

Great photos Reeek! I miss my CZ!!!

Model 34159 - but they refer to it as Hogue EX01 Black G-Mascus 4" Drop Point on most web store pages.

I'm carrying that knife right now. A lot of knife for the money IMHO. Street price varies between $160 to $175. MSRP is about $220. A lot of shops are out of stock on many models. I think I got the last black 4" G-mascus and green 3.5" G-Mascus at BladeHQ that they had in stock. I believe they showed them out of stock right after I ordered mine. Places do have them though. Google is your friend in that case. They have Tanto blade models too.

That black Hogue in the first set of pics is amazing.

What model is that and how much are they?

Hi Reeek -

Cool pics - thanks for posting them!

best regards -

Sweet pics and review. I have a 3.5" green gmascus drop point on the way. Can't wait; should be here by Wednesday. Possibly tomorrow.

Does it have a Ti framelock?

I'm tossing around this one or the smallest ZT that comes with a Ti framelock.

But I love the thumb valley they did on the Hogue for easy open.

I'm also not sure if I want an AO or regular manual...

They use a button plunge lock and that plunge lock mechanism also acts as the detent.

Hmm, not too familiar with that cause I'm a newbie. I guess its a fair competitor to a Ti framelock?

I'm looking to buy a really nice heavy over built folder really soon and wanted to get one with all of the "upgrades" of modern technology & everyone is raving about these Ti framelocks being a must have.

What makes this G10 material so special? Is it just a super indestructible composite of some kind?

I was also leaning towards a ZT 300 series as I love the fat blade & TI framelock, but I think they're just way too big for me overall (Even though I love the fat, wide blade)

The new ESEE HEST folder looks like a real winner though...

But that thumb grove & handle design on the Hogues are top knotch.

Damn it, why cant I just buy them all?!
