Dear all,

I think that Boker is really on a roll, esp. the Boker Plus series becomes in my opinion tremendously interesting. We recently could enjoy the lovely Exskeliburs, and now a lot of new ones are announced. Once again, the Boker Plus series hits the soft spot between attractiveness and price, and if the quality is similar to the recent ones then success is guaranteed.

I copied here a number of knives (not all) that I found interesting in some ways:

For example the Exskeliburs with a wooden handle. I won't buy them again (very happy with the G10 versions), but if I would buy now I would hesitate between versions.

Or this modern slip joint at a rock bottom price:

Or this rather bizarre new CLB two-hand opening model:

Even a titanium subcom:

And a small Haddock variant:

the Magnum 2010 knife is also pretty cool:

I like the Haddock. Sweet, simple design. They say it's a hollow grind but looks like a flat grind to me. 3/16" thick blade. Nice.

What is this model? I love it :D

Sweet, isn't it. It's the Boker Plus Gnome .
5.6 cm blade, 4mm thick, decent 12C27 steel, 10 cm long in total, 47 grams, with Kydex sheath.
All this for 30 euro. At least by European knife price standards that's very attractive, the kind of knife you buy in an impulse.

The Subcom is the only Boker I own. It's a great little knife, I'll definitely be picking up the new Ti version.

design reminds me of Tom Krein's...

That's because it is a licensed production version of a Tom Krein design :)
It definitely seems worth the 40 euro that Boker wants for it in Europe (and it will likely be cheaper at online USA dealers).

First: Dagon, thanks for this post. It probably took a good amount of your time.

Second: I'm glad to see that at least one of these new knives is being produced in Solingen, Germany, with a blade of premium steel.

I like the quality of the Boker Plus knives that are made in Taiwan over those that are made in mainland China.
(But I've got a strong feeling that it doesn't make any difference to most folks.)

Got a Tom Krein Pocket Bowie being made right now - that Boker one looks nice too.

knife 2nd from the bottom looks like some knives done by Ken Brock.

The others don't do much for me but this does look interesting. I wonder what it will end up selling for in the US?

Yea not long ago I was looking at the new bokers and thought, wow, why haven't I looked at boker before?

I did pick up a titan worker-great knife
