Several interesting new Bokers for 2010

Thanks to Dagon for sharing:) a bunch of interesting knives. I will have to pick a few up some day when they come out, and I always love CLB designs. To look at the site in english go to the top right pull down menu and select Boker USA and then boker plus on the left list

Second: I'm glad to see that at least one of these new knives is being produced in Solingen, Germany, with a blade of premium steel.

Actually, there are more new ones made in Solingen; I only linked the ones that I liked at first sight - and these often were from the Boker Plus series.

I did pick up a titan worker-great knife

I don't have it (yet?) but I was able to examine it and indeed the Titan Worker and its siblings are absolutely awesome. In fact amongst the most confidence-inspiring linerlocking knives I know; and good looks as well. The euro/dollar exchange ratio makes it less competitive in the USA, unfortunately.

I think I'll be buying that Krein design and posting a review here once I do. Seems like a really good deal.

Thanks for sharing brotha. I myself am digging that ceramic knife however I have never owned anything with a ceramic blade I'll have to do some research. I also find the Ti subcom interesting and may have to pick one up as it seems like a real handy little blade. I'm glad to see other knife manufacturers designing more slipjoint one hand openers. For myself its not a necessity but something new to play with however for our friends over in the UK these knives are absolutely ingenious!

Nice designs, and Boker is really making some very nice knives. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the Lightweight Titan defender and a Boker Plus G4, love the wharncliffe blade on the G4, and this will up my Boker's to 6 total. Of course there are still a few that I want to eventually get. Boker has really raised the bar with their current production.:D

got my catalog a couple of hours ago and am really impressed to see what they' re going to release this year:)

Indeed... but... it does look rather good, and it seems ok for users who know they'll only do "proper cutting".

Actually, back in the day Boker had Delta folder in ceramics and steel. May be this will be released in 2 versions too.

Wow again some nice collaboration knives:thumbup:.

Really like the pocket bowie design from Tom Krein.
And what a bargain.

Also like the wood handled exk knives.

I think Boker does a good job with these custom designed knives.

Oh dear, i have to buy more Boker blades...

The only one i have, i think, is the Schanz integral dagger which has only one fault as far as i know, the guard is a little too sharp.

I definitely plan to pick up one of these:

So a new catalog is out? The last one I have is the Winter/Spring 2010. Also went ahead and ordered the Lightweight Titan Defender and the Boker Plus G4. Had to do next day shipping for these two, so I'll be seeing them on Friday! Now I only lack the damascus 2009 knife which is the Titan Defender with a damascus blade. Then I will have the trio of them. The Titan Defenders are absolute bulldogs!

I see they have those "Gnome" knives in stock at osograndeknives.com for like 20 bucks. Anyone ever have any dealings with this outfit? Are they a good company to order from.

I just wish that Boker would add a friggin' "What's New" button to their website. It's SO hard to navigate it's kind of ridiculous. :o

No--I see the four new models they list on each section of new stuff...but they have more than that and I don't see any sort of link or button that lets you see all of them at once. Maybe I've just gone temporarily techno-blind or something? It's a little embarrassing! :p

Anyhow, I like this one! Can anyone say tactical chef's knife? :D

Oh...and did anyone else notice this?

Boker proudly presents the new Cera-Titan knife – with a pinch of extremely hard ceramic and a dash of silver particles, Cera-Titan is taking titanium blades to a new level. We’ve coined a new term just for this exciting new blade material, combining the benefits that a ceramic blade offers but with none of the drawbacks. With this revolutionary titanium alloy blade material, Cera-Titan is flexible, will stay sharp up to 5 times longer than steel blades, and once sharpening is necessary, the edge is easily honed on a normal sharpening steel in the convenience of your home. Past attempts by other manufacturers to product titanium blades have missed the mark since titanium alone cannot be hardened like steel, failing to produce any kind of sustained cutting capacity. However, Cera-Titan comes to us from the sintered titanium experts in Japan, who have added some new ingredients to the mix to produce a blade sintered out of titanium alloy with an edge retention that could almost rival ceramic. Like any good cook, we’re keeping our exact recipe a secret, but we can tell you that extremely hard ceramic and small amounts of silver are added to the titanium powder. Pressing and sintering is followed by a coining process that further compresses the structure of the alloy. This revolutionary process offers the benefits that traditional steel cannot. Cera-Titan blades are 40% lighter than steel, will stay sharp longer than steel, and will not rust. Cera-Titan’s blade will flex without breaking and when sharpening is needed, the blade can be honed on a conventional sharpening system (finish with a ceramic rod for best results). Independent laboratory tests against various blade materials, including ceramic and high alloy stainless steel, confirm Cera-Titan’s superior cutting performance. That says it all.

I'll be interested in seeing what the real world opinion is of these. :)
