I know there are threads about this - i just wanted to get a recent one up on the forums. The website domain is now "parked"

Is Severtech done? absolute shame if so. I'm an interested consumer, shame if I can't get one (or anyone can't get one for that matter)

I know there are people on here that are in the know.

Thoughts?

I would think so. A guy I work with on occassion is always commenting on those knives. I will ask him when I see him. Severtech is located in Tucson, I will try and drive by the factory.

Aaron isn't really a knifemaker, he has a machine shop. The Severtech was more of a side-project. From what I hear he's constantly busy with his regular business, and doesn't really have the time (or need) to crank out more knives. Every once in a while he'll do a run (every couple years it seems), and the knives go fast. I think you'd have better luck picking one up on the secondary market than getting a new one from him in the near future.

Didn't he have a military contract at one point? It would still be nice to know what happened if anything.

Just don't shoot it up!

If he's liquidating, pick me up a sample. :D
:D they are pricey automatics, but they are some of the toughest I've ever seen.

If it weren't for the, um, social implications of carrying an auto, and such a large one at that, I would EDC that knife. Mine is the standard green handle, black blade. Not a friendly sight for those who are uncomfortable with knives around. Or of a legalistic turn of mind. :p

Ix-nay on the G-man info RED DEVIL. I hear helicopters over your house. Spoke to Mr. Riley today. Unknown if production will resume. The web site designer has moved on to bigger & better so the site is untended. He says he may have a few lefty Standard and Spartans in the "warehouse". He's gonna check and let me know. Kev

A guy I spoke with (a friend of Aaron) told me that when he spoke with Aaron, he said the shop was closed. This conversation occurred in early November this year. No sure how much truth or embellishment was included in the story, but I doubt it would be made up.
