I regretted not getting a satin waki as soon as I placed my order, and these pictures just confirm it
 
These turned out better than expected.
I wish these pics had. These Rats are shiny, so the phone camera had trouble. The Waki's length next to the RMDs made it difficult to photo as well.
Glad you all like them, that's why I chose to share.

Wow I really, really, really, X10^23 should have gotten a satin waki :( I hope they are offered again
 
That Waki is just dripping with sexyness!!! :eek: I really like the blue/black G10 on it. Nice score! I really wanted to get one of those too, but with my user Waki and two Rucki's having had just been purchased, I just couldn't justify it. GREAT score!!! :thumbup:

It was not my intent to make anyone feel bad for missing out on these. I see pics every day of Busse(kin) knives that I'd love to own, but don't. I take some comfort in knowing I have a couple pieces like these to ease the pain a bit.

As to the hamon, there is no visible evidence. I do not know for sure what HT processes occurred.
 
I think that the swamp has stopped doing differential heat treats except for show m9's. I was hoping the satin waki's would have a nice beautiful hamon.

Unless they changed it ( which who knows) they used to be differentially treated, the the hamon is so subtle that it's hard to see with a satin finish, a double cut finish really makes it pop though

Well, after KalEl mentioned the hamon I began to closely look at every detail on this satin Waki. There is a light and super subtle (too subtle for photos-I tried) bit of what could potentially be a hamon. We need maker input on this as I what i see possibly could have been done while buffing.
Also while inspecting, I noticed every tool mark and minor imperfection on this bad boy. Thanks to you guys she's about to get some über detailing in the coming days (as I find the extra time). Will be flawless when I'm done. Zombies and anything else I choose to Wak beware!
