I can't believe sticky hasn't chimed in here but for around $50 you can stay in the Benchmade family and get a mini-griptilian. Fantastic knife with the axis lock. Smooth as butta! Great knife at a great price. A Spyderco would also be a good choice imo. thanks for the forum. dtsoll

Hath, that's why I asked. I like and think both are kind of sexy, but for different reasons.
Well if you like the Vapor then take a look at the Camillus EDC it's around $50 but is much better steel than the Vapor. That's my only complaint with the Vapor. Another in the same style and a little cheaper than the EDC but still with better steel in the blade is Smith & Wesson FL1 / FL2 @ around $35/40. But I haven't seen them in a store in my area so you will end up paying shipping most likely. Another S&W knife that I like the look of is the HRT Magnesium Rescue Folder.
CRKT have a bunch of reasonably priced knives that can be viewed on their web site. I noticed that there is a new version of the Bladelock out.

If you think age is irrelavant, perhaps you should think twice before saying things like:
