So... I am taking my sons to Philmont this year for a 12-day backpacking trip with the Boy Scouts. And as we were taking stock of our supplies and equipment, we came to the realization that my oldest son has done a bit of growing and now needs a new backpack (plus a couple of other things).

Anyway, to help defray costs, I have to part with my beloved SFNO. I voted to just stop feeding the kid, but my wife objected - so here we are.

My knife is now sadly up for sale. No trades please.
She is NOT a collector. This is a used knife that has been sharpened - but only sharpened once. I only needed to do so once; and it took a lot to get to that point. After quite a number of other tasks, I had to use my blade to chop through a palm tree during a survival training course. Anyone who has any experience with palm trees will be fully appreciative of what a cast-iron bitch that evolution was. After 9 days of hard work, I finally needed to give the edge some attention. This is a sturdy, blade that I would absolutely trust in bad times. I do hate to part with it. Blemishes to the sides of the blade are purely cosmetic and do not affect the performance nor the integrity of the knife. The edge is not all chewed up and cuts beautifully. The blade has a satin finish; and I'm sure that if one chose to send the knife back to Busse for a spa treatment, it would require very little effort to make it look like new again.

I truly hope that whoever picks this one up does so with the intent to take it out and use it. After what I have seen this knife be capable of, it would be a real shame it it ended up stranded in a closet somewhere.

SFNO with Satin finish *USED*
Comes with a kydex, Okuden A-7 sheath
Asking $275 (No trades please)
(New apparently runs about $287ish but I am also including a great $60ish dollar Okuden sheath; and I'm just looking to cover the cost of a new backpack for my boy.)
Money order please.
Tracking numbers will be provided!

Thanks!
Dave

Yes excellent offering/price. My son went to Philmont when in Scouts when he was around 15 and absolutely loved it, I wished I could have accompanied him. It'll be quite the experience for the both of you. Have fun!

Thanks! I’m excited to go. My dad went when he was a Boy Scout. I never got the opportunity so I’m glad that my sons and I will be seeing this new together. He’s getting the osprey atmos 65 pack. I’m considering hiring a Sherpa for me. LOL
