SFNO LE handle variation

... I'll just shut up and wait :)

I am in the same boat as you. I'm still waiting for mine too, so every once in a while I just take a peek at these to tide myself over.

I was hoping to get it before my camping trip in February. And so does another Hog. Blade....in May? May?

I understand contract is more important than a Ganza. But I thought they were already made and just needed to be shipped? Are not all of them made yet? What does stop mean? Stop shipping non contract orders all together? Stop manufacturing the rest of the SFNOLE's? It's been a month since the last SFNOLE's were shipped.

I was joking about the contract, they wouldn't tell me/us about that....I just couldn't resist:p Sorry, I meant to come back and tell you as sone as you seen the post.

But it really could be a few more weeks to a month I would think. They never make all the knives before they are ordered. If this were like the old days you would be in for a long wait.

We should see them pretty soon:thumbup:

the ones I have currently is a #60 very much like the middle one....darker and a # 237 which is def lighter....i don't know if it is more orange though...hmmm

LOL...nothing like leaving things for a year .... then picking up like it was yesterday ....:D

You must have gone way back for this one .....;)

Lol yeah I did pull this one from a time machine lol
was off the forum for a awhile just got a couple of sfnoles and searched threads. Anyways I digress lol

I would pick the darker one for sure. It may not look as "tiger-Hide-ie" as the others, but I like the pattern and look better. It is more "green-linnen-ie" to my eyes. More subtle.

Love it!!!!

Thread revival, huh?? :D

I didn't notice this on the SFNOLE's that I've actually opened (yeah, I still got a few all wrapped up :)), but some of my NMFBMLE's were kinda like that...

What type of micarta are THESE handles made from??? :D

Each of these is not like the others (pretty much)... ;) ...But all are Tigerhide linen micarta.

So how long have you had the SFNO LE's which are still unwrapped ??

From the look of the NMFBM LE's numbers ... I guess it must have been you who commissioned the 1-13 Snakeskin run which we saw at Knob Creek in the Fall of '08? Did you do something similar for the normal NMFBM LE's? That's a lot of low numbers there.... or did you just get in quick with a "monster" order ....

Anyway ... it's a hell of a collection you must have ...

Thank you! :) ...How long have I had the unwrapped SFNOLE's??? Since I received them from Busse... I guess over a year now.

For the record...no, it wasn't me who ordered the 13 SSNMFBMLE's, but I am lucky enough to still have my #3 from that limited run.

These regular NMFBMLE's were scored from the site, and yes, I was just quick. I threw back #11 for #100 and requested #27 instead of another number scored... I guess that would have been #13 thrown back, but I never asked. Even though Busse happily accommodates my requests for #27 LE's, I still have to be 27th or lower in LE knife orders placed to get it, otherwise I'm SOL... That's only fair, right? These were as received from Busse, no special requests other than #27 & #100 traded for lower numbers. :)
