SFNO vs NMSFNO

Depending on the actual distribution of mass along the axis of the knife, the new NMSFNO should chop better than a SARSquatch. Anyway, that's what theory tells me.

I'm waiting impatiently to make the experiment.

I think you're right about the new knife being 'on par' with the SHSH. But ... we'll see. Theory can only go so far (and I'd need to make too many measurements to make an accurate prediction; best to simply do the tests).

And there are ancillary, but still important, issues like twisting torques -- their presence can make any chopping implement unpleasant to use.

Hey... how much mass do you have between your ears?

:p

Clearly, more than I should have ... more than I need.

Sometimes, when I lose focus, it gets out of control.

Sorry about that ... :o

Oh I enjoy it. Mine goes out of control a lot. But that is because it has nearly no mass.;)

Whether or not you know it, I think you just made a lot of us Sarsquatch owners feel better about not wanting to cough up the dough for an original SFNO. My prediction is that in a year or two the squatch will be as coveted and as valuable as the SFNO's are now. The sarsquatch rules, but a sabre ground satin SFNO with black mag's is a thing of beauty, almost toooo pretty to beat, but Id still give it a workout. I ordered a NMSFNO, the price is right and I think it's going to be an awesome blade, I can't wait.

I could not of put it better. Those SFNO's are sweet looking. I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger...
Youall are a bad/good/bad influence on me.
