The other day on another thread we started talking about the SFO's of Clarence Risner.
I knew that he had commissioned a bunch of knives over the years but I didn't know what they were.
I have a few Indian Head Stockman's.
If you have any pics of other knives post em up.

:cool::cool: Invoice!! I didn't think anyone else had any of Clarence's Indian Heads, he only had them made for a short time and then someone else leased the stamp from him....think it was Smoky Mt. but not positive. Got any Jim Bowie's??

Cool thread, I Invoice . Three nice ones you show. They sure knew what high polish meant. I will post mine in the coming days.

Neal, I'm afraid I don't know what the bone is called. My spreadsheet says it's Brown Bone but I'm sure there is a more sophisticated name for it than that.

Thanks Dave!

As probably many of you know Clarence was THE man when it came to importing Eye Brand from Germany for many years. the Indian Head knives and the Jim Bowie knives were all made in the Eye Brand house. Just like his influence with Queen, which I'm pretty certain was from ALL the years that Clarence was President of the NKCA and the club knives they had made, Clarence could pretty much get whatever he wanted made because the manufacturer knew the knives would sell!! He cut a pretty wide swath in the pocketknife business!:cool:

Dave

PS.... I'm reasonably certain the bone on the Premier Series knives was called Goldenroot Bone. :)

Just what I need to know:eek: My wallet is starting to feel it already.

Perhaps most of you don't know that Charlie's (Waynorth) Harness Jack #1 produced by Queen, when Bill was still their Master Cutler, was a collaboration with Clarence ! Clarence had the clout and our Friend Mr. Calm-Pon-Yuh was just getting started in the SFO world! So HJ #1 was born...and what a BEAUTY shes is!!!:cool: Produced in 2005!

Is it possible that those Indian Head stockmen were made in the same factory as Fightn' Rooster knives? They bear a very strong resemblance to one I have.--KV
