Hi all,

So we have enough SG2 for another short run project.

We were thinking Leek, frame lock, SG2 steel with a mellow stone wash finish. MSRP $99.95, street in the $60 range.

Thoughts?

I dont know much about sg2, how would it compare to zdp or s30v? I have the leek in both of those steels and love them, I love the shape and feel of the leek in general and I would definitely be interested in this sg2 leek.

Man Thomas!!!
You just keep piling on the good stuff. Financially I can't keep up :grumpy:

Oh, I guess if you can't use it on the two steel blades models like the Tyrade, go ahead and put it in a Leek, and I know I will want one, but I am not sure I will be able to part with the hard green.

Kershaw,,,,,,,,,,,getting better every day.

Hi all,

So we have enough SG2 for another short run project.

We were thinking a Random Leek, titanium frame lock, SG2 steel with a mellow stone wash finish. MSRP $9.95, street in the $6 range.made in usa, free to residents in the syracuse area

Thoughts?

works for me-lol

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND LEGAL DISCLAIMER BELOW-THANX

Well, I hadn't really intended to start collecting Leeks, but it looks like it's too late for that now. I had intended to stick with the S30V Leeks only, but the Damascus Leek will end that anyway, so why not an SG2 Leek? (Especially after STR's review of the SG2 Blur.) Plus if you do the earth brown anodizing it'll match the Blur I already ordered.

If you do the Leek up in SG2 I'll probably get it, but on the other hand how about giving the Mini Mojito a little exotic steel love. I tend to feel like the steel is really the only thing holding it back.

Sounds like a real good idea to me Thomas.

SG2 is a great steel. In my opinion it will more than likely keep up with ZDP189 while maintaining a higher corrosion resistance. Its a great steel.

You guys are really knocking my socks of with the Blur in SG2. Nice nice folder there.

I'd be very happy to buy one, Leeks are my favorite all around. Any chance this will be done as a Titanium framelock    ?

Nah, I don't like the Leek design. It's never been much of a seller anyway. Kershaw should discontinue the entire design. If it helps, they can send me EVERY SINGLE LEEK THEY HAVE if it helps make room in their warehouse. :D

An SG2 Leek would be great! I vote for a black handle instead of the titanium handle for $$$ reasons. I think the CKT or BORON handle would look great with the SG2 steel. Of course Frame-lock. Thomas, are there any other options for the leek handle coatings? How would the Chromium Nitride finish look? Kneedeep, I like the idea of an exotic Mini-Mojito!

p.s Thomas, don't ya'll have some NRGs to make? Now I get it...you make sure there are five or six knives on our "Must Own" list, then you start teasing us with exotic boutique runs on existing designs. SMART! Ya'll must have an Aggie working there!

I have about 5 of the Leek model now! Yeah, one more in SG2 framelock would be great!

Titanium handle?

Sounds, like great idea. Think about Cyclone also.

Thanks, Vassili.
