Here is one of my small game knives in 1095 and Bocote! Perfect for small game, upland birds, turkeys, also works nice for a stream fishing knife!!

Small game season is open here, and ive already been out once, took 4 nice cottontails that day!

OAL- 7 1/4"

blade- 3 3/8" long, .093" thick at the spine, .039" measured 1/4" behind the edge, and .010" thick at the shoulder of the edge. 3/4" wide

steel- 1095 high carbon, differentially hardened. heat treat includes a double normalize, double anneal, triple edge quench { most of the blades width on these narrow blades} and triple temper for a really nice performing blade that takes and holds a great edge and yet is easy to resharpen!

grind- a full flat grind, sharpened on a Smiths 325 diamond hone with micro bevels, to an agressive razor edge

finish- 400 grit handsanded finish, and etched

handle- Bocote with brass pin and blk/red spacer, brass guard. handle is finished with 400 grit so it looks good yet isn't slick

sheath- clean dyed leather with cam built into the welt for a snap in fit

weight - 4.60 ounces with sheath

$175 plus $8 for shiping/insurance to CONUS. I can accept paypal Joe357m@bresnan.net or money order.

That's a nice chunk of wood. I have had a knife like this for a couple of years. In most cases it is enough knife for any task. Joe's sheaths are outstanding as well; they wear like iron.

A LOT OF QUALITY WORK AT AN UNBELIEVABLE PRICE!! For those that haven't seen Joes knives,He spends a lot of time to get the perfect heat treat on his knives, and they are a steal at his prices.

I have to add my $.02. Joe's knives are great looking and great users. One of them is not far from where I am at any moment.

It's a great looking knife, and worth buying for that alone. But if you actually use your knives, you owe it to yourself to try a Calton. Joe makes an incredible user.

Damn Joe, I have a weakness for your work in bocote. Text message sent to wife, crossing fingers. Russ

Thanks fellas!! I just got back from a nice deer hunt with my fatherinlaw. he was able to get a small mule deer buck and I dressed it out for him and it is hanging in the cooler as I type!
