shadow slip joint?

I've got one ordered from Todd also. I like bolster on pivot end, or bare head.

I hear ya, but its pretty hard to "get a bunch" when they cost $450 - $700 or so dollars! You make it sound like buying candy or $20 Walmart knives!

Haha, I hear ya! Once you get one in your hands you will want more! I've put some of my other hobbies on hold so I can save up for some of these amazing knives. One upside to the makers waiting list is that it gives you time to set aside your funds.
 
I definitely subscribe to the one of each philosophy! A daily user and a dress knife, makes a good combo.

As another benefit with the custom made shadow pattern it allows for some creative room for the maker. Combinations of materials or colors. The combinations are endless, stag with wood, Micarta with bone, ect. Adds more "custom" for the customer.
