Shaman

I´ve been carrying a Shaman since it´s introduction and if I´m not mistaken, this is the 5th summer it is hanging on my jeans pocket. As I´m from The Land of Puukko (Finland), I immediately convexed the blade and couldn´t be happier. Now the knife is really usable in the Finnish country environment where wood still is the most common material to be cut. As for ergonomics this is the best Spyderco ever.

If the heavy duty use knives appeal to you, the Shaman should fit the bill for you. Does remind me of the heavy built zt stuff. I would have preferred more useable blade length in ratio to the handle, but thats my only real gripe.

I bought my first shaman in 2020. Sometime around June I think. I now have 4 (s30v, dlc s30v, dlc m4, and z wear). The plain s30 model gets carried and used the most. I fell in love with the Shaman as soon as I handled and used it. Still my go to 2 years later.

Wish I could get a cf/s90v version but secondary prices are stupid.

I got a Shaman and love it. Apart from the handle which others have mentioned, I think an important difference is the blade shape. The PM 2 blade is kind of like a wedge when viewed from above, dramatically tapering from thick to thin. This always bothered me, but some people really like it. The Shaman is more of a gradual taper towards the tip.
