Shampoos, Conditioners, and moisturizing help

If you don't mind a more scientific than natural based solution try John Freida "frizz ease" shampoo, conditioner and hair serum. My girlfriend gets frizzy hair if she washes it to often but not really so with the frizz ease.

For moisturizer I'd reccomend Origins (a mall store with excellent personal care products) " a perfect world" or one of their other moisturizers.
I've used their charcoal body wash, shave cream, face wash, shampoo and deoderant and have yet to find something I didn't like. I honestly didn't want to like any of it (being a guy and all) but their stuff just works so damn well...

IMHO, the best skin and hair care is to really sweat it out every few days.

Some weeks, I run 30 to 50 km a week(esp during the marathon season) and when I'm doing this consistently, my wife says my skin looks great. I think all the sweating unclogs your pores.

After that, I just use whatever skin or hair products my wife has to bathe, wash hair, whatever. Most of the time she uses Dermalogica, but it's very expensive.

Aveda is not bad according to my wife. I think she uses some of its products. She has very sensitive skin, so the things that stay on it for a long time have to be quite free of fragrance, lanolin, mineral oil, alcohol, etc.

I think the most important element in face care is the one where you put it on your face for a long time. That's the moisturiser, I think. The others, you just put it on for a short bit, then whack it off, so many things are acceptable.

Some girls wear foundation often but it takes a lot of time to put it on. Observing my wife, I realized that if you put the whole works on your face, it takes, a minimum of at least 30 mins, to 45mins. Now she seldom does this. In any case, I don't really see much difference to her looks when she wears a lot of make-up. I like the natural look better.

Like knives, my impression is that each individual's skin and hair will suit different products, no one brand or product is the best, although some brands will have a range that will satisfy most requirements.

I don't really pay much attention to skin and hair care products. As I said, I use my wife's cast-offs. But I did find one great sunblock recently, it's a sunblock 80 from Hamilton, an aussie brand.

My wife usually says most sunblock smells like excrement, and sunblock 50 gives insufficient protection when I'm running 4 hours plus in the tropical sun.

The Hamilton had no smell and cut out the sun really well.

To be more specific, in Cindy's case, I think she has to wear that sort of hair moisturiser/conditioner the whole day on her hair, like I read that pro-gun back-slider Sharon Stone does(in my wife's magazine).

Then you can steam it to straighten it out, maybe get your own straightening kit?

The women of the south need you Cougar! With your help we can honestly say "by God I will never have the frizzies again." We'll help the women of the north and west and eventually conquer the world ah ha!!! Of course you'll get all the credit too.

My friend with beautiful hair told me her method. Buy cheap shampoo and add essential oils: rosemary, peppermint, tea tree, and lavender -- 5-10 drops of each to 8 ounces of shampoo. Then use Thermasilk conditioner.

She also says if you have the dry frizzies comb your hair with olive oil or (even better) grapeseed oil a few hours before shampooing.

clippers every 2-3 weeks, #3 head on it...

head & shoulders intensive care on hair and goatee...

The last time i cut my hair was in June. The last time i shaved was a couple of months ago. Shaving takes too much time and i only have one barber in London that i'd go to...and that's 3 hours away.

Anyway...went totally of topic there... i've got lots of hair right now and i use Loreal's anti-dandruff shampoo. Without any conditioner. For conditioner just drink lots and lots of water. That'll do it.

I think the Tom Hanks Castaway look is in right now.

A friend of mine who has beautiful thick blond (natural) hair swears by a conditioner called Mane and Tail. Yes originally it was for horses but I guess it works well on humnan hair. You can get it at most supermarkets or drug stores.

I've also seen Mane and Tail used to good effect, now that you mention it.

I'm also relieved to hear that the "Castaway" look is fashionable, as that's where I'm headed. :D

Foxhole, don't cut your hair! I know it's the style but don't you need your thick hair for the cold winters in Canada? I have used Mane and Tail, it belongs on the horses better though. Hey Thanks everybody for your imput and will try your ideas out...cold weather is coming (low 60's) so that ought to help! :)
