Shaping and grinding of HCS with angle grinder

I have a normal high carbon steel hacksaw blade is it possible to cut to shape and grind with an angle grinder without losing its HT? Its its of any help, Mine angle grinder is a variable speed version that has a lowest of 1000 rpm i think.

If it's just high carbon steel I think you're going to have a rough time not overheating it with and angle grinder. If it's HSS (e.g. M4) you might have less trouble -- I haven't worked with HSS myself so this is nothing but a guess.
