I was surprised to learn that most of my tiny knives, not counting fobs, advertisers and lobsters, are 3-inchers. Here are a few 2 7/8" and under though.
A horn handled Laguiolle, Kutmaster liner-lock, Kutmaster peanut, and a Kershaw manicure knife. Believe it or not this pic was shot in daylight. Kershaw has dark wood by the huge bolster.

Here's an old 108OT. It used to be a small stockman, but it lost one of its teeth. So I guess it's now a small premium pen? Whatever it is, it's a keeper.

By James Boden of Sheffield, made some time before 1886.

In hand, the size (or lack thereof) becomes more obvious.

Here are two, a little bone handled Robeson sway-back @ 2 7/8" and a pearl swell-center equal-end pen @ 1 7/8".

The pearl knife appears larger as the pic was enlarged more than with the sway-back.

That little Robeson sway back is a real dandy, Charlie. Any idea as to its age?

Tom Kalcevic in Knives Can Talk! dates that particular tang stamp circa 1900 - 1916.

I think the pattern, the bone, blade finish, etc is consistent with those inclusive dates.

The Buck folder for this group is the two blade 309, it will push the plastic on the 2 7/8" package. No regular scales, special ones for your enjoyment. 425m on the stag scale (modified with Axis stag), the rest Bos 420hc. There is a overseas model that fits these limits but do not have one. 300Bucks

Left to right: Custom Axis stag, David Yellowhorse custom, special factory run elk stag, special factory run water buffalo and bottom is a 98 factory limited edition jigged bone.

Beautiful thread of small knives... I just went to my knife box and fished out the smallest traditional knives I could find and took a pic of my assortment.
