Share some info about the Desert Jack?

The Desert Jack is awesome!!!! How about a pic with a Ratweiler, Chopweiler, Ratmandu and Desert Jack all together. Side by side.
 
Hmmm... no Chopweiler any longer but I'll see what I can do about a RW, RMD and DJ.

I had a Desert Jack at one time, as I have had nearly all of the old school Rats. I sold it only to come to regret it later on. So, like any good Rat affecionado, I began looking for one and recently acquired one that has barely been used. Of course, it will see much more use with me in the near future as I don't intend on making the same mistake twice. :rolleyes:

As far as cost, I think it is reasonable to find one in the $250-$300 range, and probably with a sheath as well at that price point. No, it's not easy, but few things in life that are worthwhile are easy. I would constantly check all of the major knife forums. Also check that auction sight, and check in on places that will sell factory or custom knives on consignment. Just because they are hard to come by does not mean that you have to submit to a rape when it comes time to buy one that you have found. Not everybody out there will take advantage. With any bit of luck, you and a prospective seller can walk away equally happy with a transaction. Good luck!

Oh, and Jason--dude--get out and use that knife. Are you turning into Bravado? :foot:;):p
