I recently found some items to share. I started collecting items from Grandpa when I was very young. Recently I found my old boxes of treasures, and found some new stuff too. Feedback on these items are appreciated.

Recent new find. The gentleman I purchased this from stated he thought this was CCC era, and likely was used very little as it still had the Forest Service Green paint, and relatively good condition for being 80 years old. I think the stamp says "NWTCO" possibly indicating North Wayne Tool Co.

This cleaned up well until I got enough gunk off to see the large crack. Bummer!

I'm planning on having a friend weld this crack, then hang it. I have noticed there is mixed reviews on welding these things. But I figure its already broken. Could I really make it any worse, and it might actually make it functional. Is this faulty thinking?

[Hickory n steel]

The U.S.N mk2 was made by Robeson cutlery company.

The western is real nice, and IMHO they made top notch stuff. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe it was made for military issue.

That brush hook / brush axe is a nice find, but it belongs in the axe tomahawk and hatchet section which is where you'll probably get it identified in no time anyways.

I don't see a problem with welding the crack in the poll of that single bevel broad hatchet as long as it's done properly.
