i just purchased a Three Sisters Beast and I love the quality and looks of the knife. The only issue I’m finding is that the corner of the handle is a little sharp and digging into my palm. Could the corners be smoothed out without ruining the knife? If so, is that a very difficult and expensive modification?

I've never ordered one, but I did email the owner of TSF with a couple of questions. He got back to me quickly and was a pleasure to chat with. Drop him a line and I bet he'd take care of it for you.

Looks like very effective milling. Soaking your hands in salt water to help build up some callus might be safer. Sweet knife but those scales do look on the sharp side.

Jim Allen runs that forge. A GREAT craftsman and a nice guy. I've had hrs of pleasant talk with him on the phone, and have owned three of his folders and have gifted one other to a nephew.
Send it back to him and ask him to round off the corners. He'll do it in a minute and ship it back...quickly...with a smile.
Sometime, you'll have to ask him about his "history"....an amazing fellow.

Yes you can if you don’t want to send it back. I have one, had the same issue. I took a three corner small file and some fine sandpaper and rounded the edges a bit. It turned out good.

Thanks everyone. I sent a message through the Three Sisters website and am awaiting their reply. The knife would be an ideal EDC if this small modification can be done.

I haven’t visited the web site in a while. They use to have a phone number, I’ve spoken with Jim in person, a very polite person to talk to. See if you can reach him by phone. I’ll bet he tells you it won’t void any warranties if you file the edges down. BTW, I have 3 TSF’S

Jim doesn't run the shop any longer.

Just to be clear, the issue seems to be the shape at the back of the handles. It's not that they aren't finished adequately. This is based on your pic and my experience with a few Beasts.

I had the same issue with a beast and Jim rounded it for me with no issue. I'm sure they current guys would do the same. They have a $30 servicing fee. Since it's new maybe they're do it for free. My current beast is a little pointy in that spot by not bad at all. I may just file/sand it myself. Seems simple enough to do.
