:thumbup:Im lucky enough to live within 45 min of Siguy from this forum, so I dropped off about a dozen knives for him to sharpen last week . Mostly troublesome, hard to sharpen knives that I had quit using because of that. Also my freehand sharpening technique tends to be asymetrical and I somehow rounds off the point. So these were not easy projects. Also included were a new Becker Brute that needed re- profiling and a 12" Ontario machete I wanted done ala Pict and Briangandrews of this forum. Exactly one week later I went back and they were ALL DONE! Beautiful work all around. Hair-popping sharp-clean grinds-points back on my oldies!--I also got to meet Simon. A polite, mature ,knowledgable beyond his years young man. Very talented. --If you have not availed yourself of his services, I strongly suggest you do. Break out those tuff sharpening projects that you,ve put off and send them to him. I assure you that his very low prices are well worth it.. I,ll be going back for one of his knives...KV
