That's it for today. More soon. I haven't caught up at ALL, but there's enough spent richness here to call bankruptcy!

I still have remaining from Blade Show West, and all of the Art Knife Invitational, PLUS my studio work in between trips.

I told you I am busy...

Thank you.

As always, thanks for your efforts to share your work here with us!!! It is APPRECIATED!!!!

OK, I'm back with some standouts from the past Fall. I've been to TWO Shows and a TON of Studio work since my last posts.

I'm aware of the focus on BIG blades for the next series, in anticipation of the 'Best Bowie 2021' pending review.

Others will include and follow.

Thanks for watching.

🤙

'Impressive' is a mild adjective here!

This year there was no award given for Best Bowie or Collaboration at BSW. However, we'll show you a TOP contender!

'Brut de Forge' Nessmuk by @CJKnives is as good looking as it is good working!

Chris didn't think the sheath needed to be part of the display, but I say he did a great job with it and it looks like a worthy addition.

Felt GREAT in the hand, too.

VERY young maker (age 17!) @ZanderNicholsKnives is keeping our senior interests alive and vibrant.

Classic coffin handle with compelling blade steel and nicely carved and blued guards. This young man is paying attention!

Who recognized that sheath by @PaulLongLeather? 👍👌

Thank you @kohai1999 for the opportunity.

Whoa! 'Searles Bowie' by @TROvereynderKnives is as fine an example as will ever be reproduced.

BL/OAL 9.25"/ 14" African blackwood handle, engraving by Brian Hochstrat.

Harvey Dean, MS says there are 271 gold pins in the handle, as is the original. Tom will verify.

The great Star of Texas is proudly included! Tom is SO versatile, fixed, folder, modern, historical, he's ready.

LOOK OUT! Here I come! @MattRobertsKnives, JS gets the deserved attention with this traditional clip-point Bowie.

There is a sweet hint of a hamon which shows well in hand.

He ALWAYS forges a big FAT rounded spine!

Look closely at his buttcap. Intentional facets.

Red ALERT! Andrew Meers, MS @Solid_State_Studios is one of those shake-your-head-in-disbelief makers.

'Catacombs Fighter' 10"BL/15"OAL in ebony and silver.

His cutlery visions always include something captivating and surprising.

Presented at the @ArtKnifeInvitational he is in another world altogether. I'm pleased to see him enter ours on occasion!
