• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Just to add to the threads about number, when they arrive, etc.: Who has sharpened theirs already?

I was chopping at grape vines this weekend, roughed up the fine edge it had. And I mean fine- the only blade I have gotten sharper from the box is Murray Carter's, and his geometry is all different.

Anyway, I tried to hold the original angle on my waterstones, and it came out fine. Not too hard to get back in shape.

As for break-in, I have cycled mine several hundred times, it is fully smooth- hold back the lock and it flops around like a fish. No binding, yet the pivot is tight enough to prevent all play. I sprayed in some oil and out came the black gunk from the coating wearing in.

I for one like to have a gun or folder that requires break-in so I know it is fit right.

Yeah! I LOVE my 1911- same satisfaction of getting it juuuust right. This knife along with GB and AR are good 1911 companions- functional, strong, basic, effective, mechanincal. Ker-chunk!
