I have been trying to locate an easy to use sharpener for my knives. Any suggestions? I like the Lansky style sharpener but the glue seems to come off the stones making it less than usefull. I am rather fanatical about my knives and whatever will do the best job while being small enough to pack in my luggage would be the best. Anyone try the Sharpen-It by Blackie Collins?

I prefer large bench stones and a leather strop. The fancy sharpeners disappoint me. My favorites are a Norton fine India, EZE-Lap 600 and 1200 grit. I also use a Spyderco medium. A Spyderco fine and extra fine are on order. I understand the extra fine is scary. For field touch up, the EZE-Lap pen sharpener, Field Rod or the credit card sharpeners. I believe the Blade Rigger Stat Sharp contains an EZE-Lap 400 and 1200 grit credit card along with a Scotch Bright pad. Perhaps this would be your best choice for field maintenance of a JSP blade.
