Sharpening a Cold Steel False Edge

In Cold Steel's literature they say that all their blades with a false edge can be sharpened.

Has anyone or does anyone know how to do this? I would like to do it to a Trailmaster.

Thanks for your input!!!

I haven't had to do it but I's say that depending on how thin the false edge is (ie how close to being a real edge) it wouldn't be that hard with the right tools. I'm guessing the big thing would be maintaining the initial angles. I use an EdgePro Apex for all my sharpening so it wouldn't be a problem there, but I'm not sure what it would be like if I was doing it by hand. Hope this helps.

There are only two types of people; those who understand this, and those who think they do.

One word; Diamond sharpeners......oh wait...that's two words

Get yourself a DMT coarse stone and A fine stone and you'll be done in no time. If you use any stone other than a diamond stone to remove large amounts of metal, you will probably be at it all day.

Buy a cheapy 1x30 belt sander and a 600 grit belt and a 220 grit belt...puts great edges on stuff and is great for sharpening all knives except serrated ones. Harbor freight has a bunch for $60 and you can get belts from Jantz supply. Lots faster than stones! 5 minutes tops to resharpen a completely dull knife to razor sharp.
