Hi everybody,
I will only buy Kershaw... I currently have a leek and I am getting ready to sharpen it. I have a lansky kit and I need to choose between 17 and 20 degrees. I want to be as close to original angle as possible and it seems like 20 is a bit too steep. Can anybody help me with the proper sharpening angle for this knife? Thanks in advance...

Jonathan

Have you tried the Sharpie trick? Blacken a small portion of the blade with a Sharpie, select an angle, and make a couple of light passes with a fine stone. The Sharpie mark disappears where the stone contacts the blade. Adjust angle from there.

And welcome to the forums!
