Any advice on sharpening the tip on a reverse-tanto blade?

I currently use the Spyderco Sharpmaker [yes - I own diamond rods!]

You better own diamond rods with the Contego, it's one tough SOB.

I have not had any real trouble with the tip on the Contego. If you are concerned sharpie marker the last inch of the of the blade bevel and begin carefully until you know you are hitting the angle just right.

Two days from now when you are still sharpening take a break and get some rest, then finish up. I am only half joking.

Haha!
Thanks.
Have you tried an edge pro apex on the Contego? I am interested in purchasing one.

For the tip, only use the flat side of the stones and don't let it slip off. That will help protect the tip. Other than that... good luck. You'll need it.
