Sharpening diamond tools

Hey Guys!

I have some diamond points for my New Hermes engraver that need sharpening.
Nothing I have will touch them and none of my local machine shops can help.

What do I need to get so I can do the job myself?

I imagine you would have to see someone who cuts diamonds

a gem cutter / Faceting / polishing

At a cost of $15-19 and precise bevels of 90 degrees etc, I'd imagine the cost of sharpening would be more than buying new?

Brian, your way looks like the best bet and not terribly expensive.

They are not sharpenable as far as I know. If they get chipped by misuse, you replace them. Other than accidental damage, they don't wear out. I have points that are probably 50 years old.
