Hey everyone. New to the site and to the knife world. Been reading lots and I wanted to know what type of sharpening system to get. In reality, I love knives more for the aesthetics of the hobby then using them. I use mine very lightly. They don't see anything more than opening boxes and cutting wire ties. I do however have a Gerber fine edge survival knife I use heavily on camping trips though. I would also tend to my kitchen knives better as well.

That all being said, the tri-stone seemed to be intriguing to me. Obviously I would have to learn to use it but found a Case Tri-stone sharpening box with a soft Arkansas stone, a black Arkansas stone, and a Silicone carbide stone that seems like a good idea.

Any thoughts on this or suggestions?

Love the site by the way.
