Finally!

As some of you know my books for sharpening work have been closed for a few months now, but they're now open again.

I used a Wicked Edge system with a number of accessories before to produce professional edges, but have a lingering shoulder injury that forced me to make a change. There's a ton of great sharpening products on the market and I probably could've used most of them for my little service. I decided to take a gamble on a newer product and went with a TSProf K02 system.

I was hoping to be back up and running about a month ago, but delays with the K02 order, testing and augmentation of the unit kept me out until now. Those things completed, I'm ready to start accepting orders once again.

This little XM-18 just came off the sharpening bench polished up, crazy sharp and ready to go back home:

In order to celebrate my re-launch I'm giving away 3 free sharpenings.

No special requirements for entry, just an "I'm in" will do.

Sharpening jobs will be limited to fixed blades and folders under 6". Minor reprofiling, chip and tip fixes are fine. I'll draw winners on Friday at 10pm CST.

Can you do a straight razor?

I'm afraid you're on your own with the mind thing, I can do the razor though.

Apples and oranges really. They both get the job done . The K02 is more versatile I think and doesn't hurt my shoulder.

With WE though you get to deal with a well established, domestic business.

My K02 shipped 20 days late. I was lied to twice about it having been shipped. It arrived damaged, but repairable and the stones came apart immediately and I mean IMMEDIATELY. 2-3 strokes per stone at best before they fell off their base.

It's a fantastic product, but still in its infancy and may require some effort on the part of the end user to make it perform at it's peak.
