Ive sharpened all my own tools (woodworking, knives, axes etc..) but I was wondering about sharpening edgers and such..Im guessing they are buffed?? or maybe a leather honing belt? How do you sharpen your leather tools? Thanks
I take a piece of leather and cut with the edger a profile on the edge. I lay fine sand paper(220 grit) where I have cut the edge then take the edger and run it back and forth over the sandpaper covered edge.
In all my years of loitering and harassing the folks at my Tandy store, I don't ever recall seeing that one....thanks, looks like a "must have".
For a few years now, I have tried to find fault with anything that Paul Long says or recommends. No luck so far, and it doesn't look as though the future will be more productive. Sorry, Paul, I just get carried away at times----haha-------Sandy
