Sharpening my Kershaw leek

So i sharpened my leek but i don't like the edge i used a smiths pocket pal sharpener. i am fairly new to the knife community and need a good sharpener. I don't have any real skill in sharpening knives (i would like to learn) so if you could recommend a sharpener that needs little skill but will produce a great edge that would be great
 
Sharpmaker with the standard ceramic rods is great for touch-ups. If you are going to re-profile, perhaps look into getting the CBN or diamond rods as well.

Or look into one of the guided systems with a clamp and guide rods, like the Lansky or DMT Aligner. The DMT is good for re-profiling, as the diamond stones make short work of any steel. It's not quite as good for touch-ups though, as setup is slightly more effort, and unless you get the clamp positioning exactly as you did before, you may end up with a slight variation in the angle along the length of the cutting edge.
 
biggest thing, imho, is understanding the basics. You can sharpen on a brick if you want, you just have to know what you are doing ;)
