Sharpening Question

I have a Sharpmaker 204. Is there any difference in using the ceramic rods from a Sharpmaker 204 vs a ceramic stick, for sharpening the asymmetrical edge? I'm talking about using the rods in the same fashion Busse recommends using a ceramic stick.
 
Hmmm, other than one side is at one angle and the other side is a different angle, it should'nt be any difference. Just dont forget the different angles, and the convex edge requires a little finesse.

Sorry I missed this one with all that "Death Chat" stuff going on. ;):D

I use the white rods from my sharpmaker in place of a ceramic stick and I've had no problems.

I also have a Ceramic stick but if you have a Sharpmaker I don't see any reason to buy another ceramic.

That's what I had thought, but one never knows.....Didn't want to have to buy a ceramic stick if it wasn't necessary.
